Mission
Paly Python's goal is to make programming accessible to all students, especially for those from underserved backgrounds.
Camps
Paly Python has also hosted a variety of summer camps in different areas of programming. They are free, fast-paced, and comprehensive.
Courses
From February to April 2022, we hosted courses in introductory JavaScript and web development with HTML, JS, and CSS.
Our Accomplishments
India Mission
In the summer of 2022, we brought Paly Python to India to hold a series of programming workshops for underseved students from the slums of Bangalore. After the workshops, we're dedicated to keeping our students engaged with our mentorship program and our community events.
Climate Change Hackathon
In June 2021, we hosted a hackathon with over $350 in prizes where 35 competitors worked in teams to create a game, website, or simulation to raise awareness for climate change and make an impact.
East Palo Alto Mission
In October and November 2021, we held workshops and lessons in East Palo Alto to introduce students to computer science. Our project-based curriculum let each student use their creativity to build a progrmaming project.
Summer Camp
During the summer of 2020, we hosted a series of free summer camps teaching over 30 middle school students Python and JavaScript. During the course, each student created a game or website as a project.
